RxFibron™ is a thermoplastic which means it is a thermally or melt extruded fiber in which the fiber forming process is passing the molten polymer through a spinneret. The spinneret forms the shape of fiber. Most medical applications use a round fiber that is bundled into a flat yarn package. The yarn can be further processed (woven, braided or knitted) into a structure for a medical device.
